Abstract Spirit was started in 2006 as a project of M. Hater (Twilight Is Mine, Decay of Reality) and I.Stellarghost (Twilight Is Mine), who were in Comatose Vigil line-up for some time. At the end of 2007 they had got 6 songs to record a full-length album. The line-up was completed by A.K. iEzor (Comatose Vigil, Mare Infinitum, Dopehaze) who performed vocals and drums on their debut album “Liquid Dimensions Change”. The band had a deal with Moscow doom-metal label Solitude Prod. by which the album was released. Keeping the same line-up, AS released their next three albums with a support of Solitude Prod. and a split-album with Georgian funeral doom-death metal band Ennui, released by … Moscow Funeral League. Abstract Spirit’s genre can be characterized in terms of schizophrenic funeral doom metal with its sampled brass band, playing out of tune.
