Gli Acid Ocean sono una band stoner/sludge metal ideata nel 2002 da Fabio Serafini, chitarrista thrash metal milanese (Unscarred, Elevation). Il progetto viene dapprima abbandonato dopo pochi mesi, per poi riemergere a dieci anni di distanza, nell’estate del 2012, con una formazione aperta che vede avvicendarsi vari musicisti provenienti da generi diversi. Con la collaborazione di Luca Caserini, batterista dei Sixty Miles Ahead, a dicembre 2012 la band pubblica un 7” autoprodotto (“Apathetic” / “Diatom”), a cui segue il singolo digitale “Mauerwerk” a ottobre del 2013, con la presenza della bassista Silvia Ottanà degli Adam Carpet. La band, con una formazione ancora differente, sta per mettersi al lavoro su un nuovo EP, che sarà registrato nel corso dell’inverno.
