Сomatose Vigil was formed in February 2002 as Subhuman Abstract by A.K. iEzor (vocals/drums), VIG’ILL (guitars/bass) and Zigr (keyboards). Their music had been played as slow symphonic doom-death metal and then, getting slower and slower it finally became leisured funeral-doom. Also they gave a new name to the band – Comatose Vigil. The trio was noticed by the Russian label Marche Funebre (sub-label of Stygian Crypt productions). In 2005 the debut album “Not a Gleam of Hope” was released by that label. In 2006 Solitude Productions replaced Marche Funebre and released EP “Narcosis”. The following five years were full of problems with the line-up. At the end of 2010 the band backed to the original line-up and started recording their second LP “Fuimus, non Sumus…”, which also was released by solitude Prod. In March 2012 Comatose Vigil suddenly informed about their break-up but in august 2014 they came to reunion, joined in that effort by … Moscow Funeral League as a new label.
